Course registration for the 2022-2023 academic year will begin for current St. Thomas University students on Friday, March 25. In advance of course registration, STU Academic Advising will be holding information sessions for each student group from March 14 -21.
Students are invited to attend one of these virtual sessions (to be held on Microsoft Teams), to learn about some of the following common questions around course registration.
- major/minor/honours requirements
- declaring a major
- course distribution requirements (A/B/C/D groupings),
- how to prepare for graduate/professional programs
Don’t forget to bring your questions, as you will have the opportunity to submit these in the chat and have our advisors answer them live. We will also give a brief overview of some of the new features in our new registration system, STU Self Service.
How to Attend
For your convenience, the appropriate session—based on your current credit hours earned—has been added into your Microsoft Teams calendar. This way, you can easily join the session on the day. Your session is to take place—keep in mind your camera and microphone will be automatically turned off, so that you can enjoy hearing from the presenters.
Session Schedule

Third year going into fourth year (or 84+ potential credit hours)
Friday March 18, 2:30-3:30pm
Second year going into third year (or 48-81 potential credit hours)
Monday, March 21, 2:30-3:30pm

Note that potential credit hour is defined as the potential total of your credit hours earned at the end of this academic term (April 2022).
