Ds Scholarship

Apply for the APRO Charitable Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship process

The APRO Scholarship application will open at the end of the spring semester to apply for the fall semester of that year.

The scholarship process involves submitting all materials through an online application and completing a telephone interview. Once you have submitted your application and APRO has confirmed that you are an eligible applicant, we will contact you to schedule an interview. Once you complete the interview, we will contact you again if you have been selected for a scholarship.

Third party judges – an independent panel of educators not affiliated with the Foundation’s Board of Directors, APRO staff or scholarship applicants – read, review and record each application submitted.

Standards requirements

To qualify for the APRO Scholarship, applicants must be either an employee of a charter-to-own employee or a child of an employee hired to own. The applicant’s lease-to-own affiliate must be a current member of APRO and a current member of each government association they are applying to.

Scholarship recipients are selected based on three main criteria:

  1. financial need
  2. Academic Advantages
  3. Charitable / civic / community participation

Scholarship recipients can expect two payment installments:

  • Batch 1 – August 2021
  • Second batch – after the recipient provides evidence of their fall GPA (must be 3.0 or higher for universities or 2.5 or higher for trade schools)

Scholarship Application Closed for 2021

The APRO Scholarship application is available online only; Paper applications will not be accepted.

Once the application is submitted, the application is final. Do not click the Done button until you have completed all applications and uploaded all materials.

For applicants with questions regarding the scholarship, please contact us at edu@rtohq.org, or call us at (800) 204-2776.
