Away Announces Passport Scholarship Fund To Unlock International Travel Experiences

In an effort to get rid of the financial burden of securing a passport, Away granted a Passport Scholarship Fund, Which will directly benefit Global Glimpse students who need support prior to their first international travel experiences.

The Passport Scholarship Fund is an expansion of Away’s ongoing partnership with Global Glimpse, which was formally established in 2020. In 2022, Global Glimpse expects 500 individuals to travel internationally as part of their innovative programs, about 200 of whom will need financial assistance to obtain a passport. Each student in need will receive full funding to cover the estimated amount $145 US passport cost. Additionally, recognizing that barriers to entry are not just financial, Away will work with Global Glimpse to prepare guidelines and guidance to make the passport application process as smooth as possible for students.

This feedback will be sent to Global Glimpse students as a way to inspire and encourage their future travels.
