Bouyea putting up career numbers in final season at USF – Monterey Herald

Jamaree Bouyea is compiling an interesting resume from professional scouts around the world when he closes a chapter in his career for the University of San Francisco basketball team.

His 6-foot-2 points lead helped the Dons jump to 13-1 early this year, leading the team in scoring, assists and minutes.

A Palma graduate averages 34.8 minutes per game for the Dons, who have received votes in the most recent 25 polls.

Bouyea is averaging a career high of 17.8 points per night while providing 54 assists in 14 games for the NFL. He takes second place on the team in rebounds (5.0), steals (22) and hits (16).

The 21-year-old also improved in his field goals percentage, defeating 51.4 percent from the field, and 44 percent from behind the 3-point arc.

Poya led Palma to three consecutive undefeated seasons for the Gabilan team and a place in the Division IV state title match in 2016.

Olivares minutes increased on the Sacramento State basketball court

Missing the first four games of the season due to injury, former Beachfront star Jordan Olivares is working her way back to the Sacramento State women’s basketball team.

The 5-foot-8 goalkeeper has come off the bench in the team’s past eight games, averaging over 17 minutes in her past six games.

Despite the limited time I’ve had on the field, the rookies are second on the team in steals, while contributing to the offensive end in four of their last five games.

This season, Olivares, who led Seaside to the Central Coast Division IV title in 2019, averaged 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per night.

Last season, Olivares was an academic pick for the Big Sky Conference, averaging a college career 10.4 points in 23 minutes per night.

Sendell has a quick start at the conference at Lawrence University

Named to the All-21s Men’s Basketball Team at Lawrence University earlier this season, captain Brad Sendell leads the team in scoring for the third year in a row, averaging 21.2 points per game.

Back on Earth after last season was canceled due to the pandemic, former Pacific Grove sniper stopped the Vikings for a 3-1-6-7 conference start overall.

Given the dynamic of offensive threat like Sendell, he also leads the team with 67 assists and has 15 goals in 35.4 minutes per night.

Sendell was the first player to have over 1,000 points in his first two seasons at Lawrence, and was an all-conference pick in 2020.

He was twice named Midwest Conference MVP this season, having picked up the honor six times in his three years at Lawrence.

The 6-foot-tall player led Pacific Grove to four consecutive Mission Trail Athletic League titles and a Central Coast Division IV title in 2016. He spent one season at MPC before signing with Lawrence.
