Chrome & Ice VIP Experience to feature concert, benefit scholarship fund | News for Fenton, Linden, Holly MI

Fans looking for premium access to Chrome & Ice can get their money’s worth by purchasing VIP Experience tickets ahead of the car show in February.

Back by popular demand, the Chrome & Ice Indoor Car Show’s VIP Experience will be held on opening night, Feb. 11., featuring a special admission package and a live major concert headlined by country music recording artist and Michigan native Josh Gracin.

Gracin, an American Idol Contestant from Season 4 and former Marine, will perform hits like “Nothin’ To Lose,” “Stay with Me (Brass Bed)” and “We Weren’t Crazy,” plus his new hit “Love Like. ” Local rock group “The John Vance Band” will open the concert at 7:45 pm with classic rock ‘n’ roll hits.

Tickets for the VIP Experience are $40 each and will include admission to the car show and the concert. A VIP Experience ticket also includes a complimentary adult beverage at any of the several bars in the arena, as well as gourmet hors d’oeuvres and dessert on the walkway above the Green Arena from 6 to 8 pm, compliments of Dort Financial Credit Union.

Amber Taylor, Executive Director for Back to the Bricks, said that this year’s VIP Experience will be better than ever, presenting a top country music act and access to all Chrome & Ice’s entertainment offerings on Feb. 11.

“We’re really excited to partner with Dot Financial Credit Union to bring this new element to the Chrome & Ice VIP Experience,” she said. “There aren’t too many winter concerts in our area, so this gives people the chance to get out, enjoy themselves and rock out to some great music.”

Fans can also purchase concert only tickets for $15 or concert/car show combo tickets for $25. General admission for the Chrome & Ice car show is $10 for adults, $7 for ages 12-18 and free for kids under 12.

Proceeds from Chrome & Ice and the VIP Experience will support the Back to the Bricks Youth Scholarship Fund, which awards a total of $10,000 in post-secondary scholarships each year. Altogether, the program assists high school seniors in Flint and Genesee County who are pursuing post-secondary study/training at a college or technical school in auto-body repair/painting, automotive design, auto mechanics, electrical/manufacturing/mechanical engineering, robotics , sales and marketing, software development for automotive applications, welding or a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) related program.
