Benet Academy grad continues men’s volleyball career at Baldwin Wallace University

Student receives dean’s list of honors for fall 2021 semester
Makena DeCapua of Aurora was recently named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 semester at the University of Evansville (UE). DeCapua is studying Exercise Science at UE.
A total of over 630 students were named to the UE Dean’s List. To merit this honor, a student must have carried a full academic load of 12 hours or more and have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

First-year student named to president’s list
Zachary Weissa freshman engineering major from Aurora, was among approximately 660 Bob Jones University students named to the Fall 2021 President’s List.
The President’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average for the semester.

Aurora student participates in college’s Cooperative Education Program
University of Alabama student Brandon Bigus, of Aurora, is participating in UA’s Cooperative Education Program during the spring 2022 semester. Bigus is working for Brasfield & Gorrie.
In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student.
While in school, students carry regular course schedules. While on co-op, they work with professionals in their fields who supervise their training and work. At work, co-op students earn competitive salaries and may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable job experience. Participants maintain their full-time student status while at work and have priority registration status each semester through graduation.

Aurora student named to the dean’s list at Bob Jones University
Andrew Weissa junior music major from Aurora, was among approximately 820 Bob Jones University students named to the Fall 2021 Dean’s List.
The Dean’s List recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade point average during the semester.

Kaitlyn Schmitt of Aurora named to Harding University dean’s list
Kaitlyn Schmitta senior studying psychology, is among more than 1,200 Harding University students included on the dean’s list for grades achieved during the fall 2021 semester.
The dean’s list is published each semester by Dr. Marty Spears, University provost, honoring those who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incomplete.

Alma College dean’s list includes Aurora student
Anith Kharela resident of Aurora, IL, has been named to the Fall 2021 Dean’s List at Berea College.
A student is named to the Dean’s List who achieves a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least four total credits, a course load equivalent to 16 semester hours.

More than 1900 students were named to Bradley’s Fall 2021 Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester on a 4.0 scale.
