Shared governance ensures diverse perspectives and collective wisdom that guides our business, fosters collaboration and provides a strong foundation for the organization’s success.

A culture of shared governance helps Iowa maintain:

  • clarity of communication and transparency;
  • a deeper understanding of the strategic objectives among the major components;
  • Open and equal channels for feedback and discussion; And
  • Informed leadership that can act quickly to address problems.
