Two cosmetology students recently received a Jerry O’Shea Scholarship worth €500 at Templemore College.
This scholarship stemmed from Jerry’s passion for education and the conviction that education is not only indispensable when it comes to making a living, but also vital in terms of self-esteem, free thinking and responsibility for oneself as well as the well-being of others. This is testament to Jerry’s lifelong pursuit of knowledge and his belief that the only limitations in life are those we set for ourselves. Congratulations to Caitlin Corrigan Black and Carolyn Kavanagh on receiving this scholarship. (look at the picture)
Natasha makes the perfect gift
Recently, Templemore College hairstylist student Natasha Delaney donated 14 inches of her beautiful tuft of hair to the Laura Lynn Children’s Home. “The Princess Trust” and “The Rapunzel Foundation” support The Locks of Love for Laura Lynn, both of whom have been in the works for some time. Both charities give real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young adults who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions. This wouldn’t be possible if people like Natasha Delaney didn’t grow up and donate their own locks.
Well done Natasha.
