A student has tested positive to COVID at Corpus Christi College – the third school in the space of two days that has now been impacted by the virus.
A text message from Corpus Christi College to parents said the school had been advised of a positive case.
“We are working closely with WA Health and will provide updates soon,” the message said.
“We ask that you monitor your child / yourself and if symptoms develop, please get tested immediately and isolate until you receive a negative result.”
WA Health confirmed the new infection and said the department was now providing direct advice to the Catholic school about how to manage the outbreak.
The Catholic Education WA have also been contacted for more information.
A Facebook post by Corpus Christi College shows the entire school – which has around 1700 students – gathered for an assembly yesterday.
“This morning marked a special moment in our College’s history as both Primary and Secondary students and staff all came together for our first College Assembly as a K-12 College!” the post reads.
“We wish all of our students and staff all the best for the year ahead!”
More to come.
