DANVILLE, CA — CPC Danville, a community church in the San Ramon Valley, is offering $3,000 scholarships to four graduating seniors from the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.
This is the second year in a row the church is offering student scholarships.
“CPC’s scholarship program is part of our FOR the Valley movement, which is anchored in the belief that ‘being for others can change the world’,” Tyler Scott, Lead Pastor at CPC, said in a news release.
Seniors can apply by demonstrating how they have shown others that they are “for” them. This can be shown through something they have done at school, in the community or for the world at large.
“As a high school senior, you have a voice, a creative perspective and the potential to make a positive impact on our world,” Bill Haslim, Associate Pastor of Student Ministries, said in a statement.
Submissions may be in the form of a song, photo, painting, dance, drawing, video, monologue, essay, poem or service project incorporating any or several of these elements.
The FOR Scholarship team will share all submissions throughout social media. The deadline is April 7 at midnight. Applicants will be contacted no later than May 2.
Applications can be sent to scholarship@cpcdanville.org.
