Dayton ISD student captures video of person pointing what appears to be a gun at school bus

A Dayton ISD father is furious after his 13-year-old high school student comes home with a chilling video, showing a teen apparently pulling what appears to be a gun and guiding him to a school bus.

Mitchell Wright said his daughter was terrified after what happened on her way home from Woodrow Wilson Jr. High School on Friday afternoon.

“what [the person] It was terrifying for a lot of different kids,” Wright said.

His 13-year-old daughter captured what happened in a video using her cell phone. Her video clip shows a car closely following the bus.

“[The person] They hang out in the sunroof and wave to their friends or something else on the school bus at first,” said the father. “Suddenly [the person] He got out of the car and took out this gun and pointed him at the bus.”

In the video, the children on the bus started screaming.

Wright says there were middle school and high school students on the bus.

He told KPRC 2 that he sent the strange video to Dayton ISD.

“I’m not okay with anyone pointing a BB gun or any gun at my kids on the bus,” Wright said.

Dayton ISD posted the following statement on its Facebook page:

“Dayton ISD learned of an accident on a public road outside one of our after school buses. Our police officers are currently investigating and we do not take these matters lightly. We will pursue this to the fullest extent permitted by law. We ask all parents to continue to talk to your children about the behaviors Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.”

Wright said he hoped the person who did this would understand that what they did was wrong.

“Every choice you make has a consequence,” he said.
