Dialog Axiata with Manusath Derana extends Nana Diri Data scholarships to more students – Other

As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure that no child is left behind in continuing their education, Dialog Axiata PLC with Manusath Dhirana has successfully facilitated 103,478 schoolchildren from 470 schools across the country in their online learning from home using data grants under the ‘ Nana Diri Data Grant Program.

Started in July this year, through the Nana Diri Data Scholarship programme, which falls under the “Dialog Axiata with Manusath Derana” initiative, 10 GB data was provided to each student for their educational purposes for a period of 3 months.

Speaking on the occasion, Sobon Weirasinghe, CEO of Dialog Axiata PLC Group said: “In light of the pandemic, we are pleased to support our nation in bridging the digital divide while providing financial relief to parents of deserving schoolchildren.

This is another initiative of Dialog in its ongoing efforts to support students across the country in their educational endeavors.
