Dining menus and nutrition info now online | Announce

Student accesses NetNutrition® on a mobile device

In an effort to enhance students’ dining experiences, Dining Services has implemented NetNutrition®, an online nutrition portal that helps promote awareness of allergens and encourages informed menu choices.

“Dining services wanted to be transparent with our customers,” said Dave Annes, Director of Dining Services. “Students can now ‘shop’ our various restaurant menus to decide where to eat. Nutritional and allergy information can help them decide.”

Within the NetNutrition website, students can select a dining location to view menus for the week. They can also build their plate based on serving portions to showcase the complete nutrition of the meals.

As Anis explains, this gives students the ability to make informed decisions about eating and hopefully improves the on-campus dining experience. “We hope this will create informed pioneers who have some control over where and how they eat. I am excited that the students will have this new level of information at their fingertips and see how they use the information in their daily lives.”

In addition to the website, nutritional information is available at most service stations. In the coming months, digital screens will replace small information cards in food centers, making nutrition and allergen information readily available.
