Dining plans now accepted at the State Room for lunch | MSUToday

MSU Culinary Services is proud to offer a new dining experience to the campus community. Spartans can now visit the State Room Restaurant inside the Kellogg Hotel and Convention Center to enjoy a limited-edition buffet lunch for all your faves.

The self-service option is served Tuesday through Friday from 11am-2pm with a rotating menu of choices such as home made appetizers, wraps, delicious soups, delicious salads, desserts, and drinks. This includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-friendly ingredients. Listings are available online at eatatstate.com.

During lunch only, the restaurant functions as a dining hall that takes care of you. Guests can use the student or faculty/staff dining plan or pay $12 plus entrance tax (tax does not apply to students). Spartan Cash and debit/credit cards are accepted.

During January, an initial launch of the lunch buffet took place. Resident assistants, intercultural assistants, Student Life and Engagement team members, and other partners were invited to try out the new option. Thanks to those who visited and shared their valuable opinions.

Eating plans are acceptable during lunch service only. The restaurant serves an à la carte menu for dinner, from Tuesday to Saturday from 4 to 10 pm. Students may receive 20% off their dinner items with a valid MSU ID (discount not available on special occasions or alcoholic beverages). Guests 21 and over can also enjoy full bar service during dinner hours including wine tours and small plate specials served during the week.

If you have any questions, please send an email to info@eatatstate.com or call the restaurant at 517-432-5049. Plus, learn more about the self-service lunch buffet as well as dinner service and upcoming State Room events on the Kellogg Center website.
