Don’t Mess With Texas® Scholarship Contest open for applications

The deadline for applications is March 31, 2022

Austin, Texas?? Don’t accept contest?? t Scholarships is now open for applications for the 2022 academic year.

Any Texas high school student currently attending public, private, or home school and planning to attend an accredited Texas college or university in the fall of 2022 is eligible to apply. The judges will choose the winners based on the students. Proven results in pilot projects or events that focus on educating communities about the importance of keeping our country clean and litter-free.

Don competition will be awarded?? t mess with Texas Scholarships Offered in Partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful, a total of $9,000 in scholarships in May 2022. Awards for the 2022 Scholarship Contest is sponsored by Buc-ees and iHeart Media.

?? It is important for the younger generations to realize that they have the ability to find long-term solutions that can turn their environment into a litter-free environment, ?? “Don’t Mess Texas,” said Becky Ozuna, program director for the Don’t Mess Texas Campaign.

The Don’t Mess With Texas program has been educating Texans about litter prevention since 1986. The program includes a grassroots partnership with Keep Texas Beautiful, the annual “Trash-Off.” Community outreach events and the “Adopt a Highway” volunteer program.

To apply for a scholarship without the chaos of Texas, visit dontmesswithtexas.org. Applications must be received online by 5 p.m. (CST) on March 31, 2022.
