Junior Achievements from North Central Ohio
Canton – Junior Achievement in North Central Ohio offers scholarships to graduate seniors to college, trade school, apprenticeships, or on-the-job training directly into the workforce. With K-12 programming in 15 counties including Stark and Junior Achievement from North Central Ohio, local businesses are collaborating to teach students the financial and professional skills they will need to navigate the future.
Eligible students must be current Stark County seniors, have participated in at least one JA program at any level of study and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. The deadline for applications is 4 pm. The exact amounts and number awarded depend on the funds available and the number of applicants.
BBB Charitable and Education Fund Scholarship Essay Contest
Canton – District high school seniors can submit applications until April 1 for the BBB Charitable and Educational Fund Scholarship Essay Contest.
The BBB Life Lessons Essay Contest is a topic-based essay contest that challenges students to think about living an honest and ethical life. Articles are submitted online and reviewed by a panel of judges. The first six essays will award scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,500. The competition is open to district high school seniors enrolled in schools in the BBB’s 64-county service area, which includes 12 Ohio counties and 52 West Virginia counties. There is no GPA requirement to apply, and scholarship funds are accustomed to attending any profession, technology, college, university or trade school after graduating from high school.
The theme of this year’s essay writing competition is ‘Business Ethics’. BBB’s mission is to build an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers trust each other. In the essay, students should describe what a good work ethic means to them and how they have applied it in their lives through school, employment, sports, other extracurricular activities, or personal situations.

Massillon Rotary Foundation Nursing Scholarship
Massillon – The 2022 Massillon Rotary Foundation Nursing Scholarship awards will remain at $3,000 per recipient.
Eligible applicants must live or work in Massillon or Western Stark County and be accepted or enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Scholarships are eligible to renew annually.
Scholarship applications and guidelines are available at www.massillonrotary.org under the Rotary Foundation tab. The application deadline is April 15, and awards will be announced by June 15.

Richard T. Naples Educational Foundation Sr. Scholarship
None – The Richard T. Naples Sr Education Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from students who live in Stark, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. The scholarship covers colleges, universities, institutes of fine arts and performance as well as trade and professional schools and institutes.
The deadline for this year’s scholarship application is March 31. High school and college students can obtain an application at www.wfboom.com. High school students can also obtain an application from their guidance counselor.
Founded by Richard T. Naples, founder of a wholesale fireworks company, scholarship in 1988. He owns fireworks stores in Niles, Hubbard and Canton. The Permanent Fund awarded 181 scholarships for $500 and 383 scholarships for $800.
