Applications are now being accepted for the newly established Elizabeth Ann Widner Memorial Scholarship. Applicants must be high school seniors pursuing secondary education preferably in health, agriculture or arts to name a few in those fields. Special attention will be given to families with cancer! The recipient of this scholarship must demonstrate high personal qualities to be eligible for the award.
The Elizabeth Ann Widener Memorial Scholarship application is available online at www.enrichingourcommunity.org/Scholarships. Applications and references must be completed by 11:59 PM on Friday, March 11, 2022, for consideration.
Elizabeth was first and foremost a devoted servant of God, who valued her family and friends, and worked tirelessly as a childhood cancer advocate on a local/governmental/national level despite her own battles with the disease from the age of 12 until her death at 17!
Service to others was a central tenet of Elizabeth in her daily endeavors in life. If she had it she intended to become a pediatric oncology nurse!
