Redesigning Writing for Equity and Innovative Teaching (WRITE), a national model of academic excellence for professional development, supports TK-12 Schools and Districts to implement an equity-focused, culturally and linguistically responsive approach to writing in both English and Spanish. Aligned with writing standards in the California Common Core Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy in History/Social Sciences, Science, and Art Subjects, the WRITE program prepares students for university, career, and civic engagement.
Through partnerships with schools, districts, and district offices, WRITE develops a network of leaders with a shared understanding of quality integrated literacy education. Join TK-12 teacher leaders across the state in a four-module online course focusing on equity-focused, research-based writing instruction.

California Multilingual Project SDCOE WRITE Innovation Offerings:
MCaP WRITE Digital Academy – The MCaP WRITE Digital Academy is a free asynchronous professional education available to educators working with English language learners across the state in structured English immersion or bilingual immersion educational programs. Participants will understand the key educational practices of implementing integrated literacy, in both English and Spanish, for language learners.
MCaP stage 2+ and stage 3 –This professional learning series expands on culturally and linguistically responsive educational practices, with an emphasis on integrated literacy applications and examples. During the simultaneous sessions, participants will deepen their understanding and application of an integrated literacy approach. In the asynchronous course component, participants will build their capacity to support site and area implementation through joint projects and engage in dialogue. Only for counties and partner schools participating in the California Multilingual Project (MCaP).
