Exam-related Info Only From Schools | Pune News

Pune: From printing the entire examination schedule on the hall ticket to increase the number of exam centers by almost four times to give extra time during examinations, the state board authorities have said they have done everything in their capacity to make the students comfortable during the examination.
The board officials have warned students against believing any social media forward messages about examinations and to rely only on the information given by the school or the state board itself on its official website.
The HSC examinations will be held between March 4 and March 30 while the SSC examination will be held between March 15 and April 4, and both exams will be held offline. There were agitations to conduct these exams online.
The practical examination has already been given an exemption of the external invigilator by the board. As such, all practical examinations would be conducted by the respective school teachers without any external examiner, based on 40% of the actual practical syllabus.
The board officials have already said they will also try their best to conduct exams in the same school as the student is enrolled so that students are better prepared mentally and also do not have to travel during the pandemic.
The number of examination centers has been increased to over 30,000 compared to over 7,000 in regular times. Looking at the lack of writing practice among students due to online classes, they will be given 30 minutes extra time for a 70-100 marks exam while 15 minutes extra for a 40-60 marks exam.
Each classroom will have only 25 students seated diagonally to ensure social distancing and a separate room will be provided if a student is unwell and needs to attempt the examination in isolation. Students need to be at the exam center at least one and a half hours before the exam and they will be given a question paper 10 minutes in advance.
