The Lake County Winegrape Commission is offering a new scholarship program – “Future of Agriculture” – open to Lake County graduating high school seniors who will attend college in the 2022-2023 academic year to offset tuition and supplies.
LCWC will award one $5,000 scholarship to assist a graduating high school student who will attend a four-year university in a program of study that will enable the student to contribute to the winegrape industry. Preference may be given to those who will study viticulture, enology, plant pathology, crop science, sustainable agriculture, agribusiness, public policy, political science, or a related field from a four-year university.
For scholarship applications and details (including eligibility and how to apply), please visit the LCWC website.
Deadline: Application packets must be postmarked by Friday, April 8, 2022. Please encourage high school seniors who are interested in a career supporting agriculture to apply.
