The INSPIRE Higher Education Scholarship 2021-22 is an initiative for students who have passed Class 12. Selected students will receive scholarships of up to Rs 80,000 annually for the duration of the course. The last date to apply for this scholarship and benefit from its benefits is January 31, 2022.

The program focuses on attracting outstanding students to study basic and natural sciences at the college and university level and to pursue research careers in the fields of basic and applied sciences including engineering, medicine, agriculture and veterinary sciences. This is one of the best scholarship opportunities for all Indian students!

INSPIRE Higher Education Scholarship: Eligibility

  • Age: 17-22 years old

  • Passed Class 12 Examination of any Central/Government Board in India with combined marks in the top 1% of the class

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s/BS/MS/Master’s degree in Basic and Natural Sciences from any recognized institute/college/university in India

  • Among the top 1000 ranked holders in JEE from IIT or AIPMT/NEET and pursuing B.Sc./BS/Int.M.Sc./MS course in Basic and Natural Sciences

  • Pursuing an integrated MSc course from NISER or IISERs or be a researcher in KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana), Department of Atomic Energy Center for Basic Sciences, NTSE (National Talent Search Examination), JBNSTS (Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search) or Medal recipient International Olympiad to pursue a course at Bachelor/Master level in Natural Sciences.

INSPIRE Higher Education Scholarship: Benefits

  • A total of 10,000 students will get this scholarship worth INR 80,000 annually. It consists –

  • Annual Scholarship of INR 60,000

  • Summer reservation fee of INR 20,000 per annum.

INSPIRE Higher Education Scholarship: Required Documents

  • Passport size A photograph of the applicant in JPEG format with a file size of no more than 50 KB

  • Community/Denomination Certificate (applicable to SC/ST/OBC students) in PDF format with a file size of no more than 1MB

  • State/Central Council submits Eligibility/Advisory Note (if any) in PDF format, max file size 1MB

  • Mark Sheet for Class 12 in PDF format with a download size of no more than 1MB

  • As proof of date of birth, a Class 10 mark sheet or certificate is required in PDF format with a file size of no more than 1MB.

  • Certificate in PDF format with a file size of not more than 1MB showing the rank or award in JEE (Main) / JEE (Advanced) / KVPY / NEET / NTSE / JBNSTS / International Olympic Medals (if you apply under this category).

INSPIRE Higher Education Scholarship: How to Apply?

Interested and qualified candidates can apply for the scholarship online through the official INSPIRE scholarship website. Here are the steps to apply for this scholarship:

  • To apply for the INSPIRE Scholarship, candidates must go to the INSPIRE Scholarship homepage online.

  • The candidate will receive login details to the registered email ID after completing the online registration process for the INSPIRE Scholarship.

  • Then, using their INSPIRE SHE scholarship login credentials, the applicant must log in to their profile.

  • After successfully logging in, the candidate must complete all required fields on the INSPIRE scholarship portal.

  • They must also upload all required documents.

  • Candidates are advised to check all details before completing the INSPIRE scholarship application form, as they will not be able to make any changes once submitted.

  • Finally, they can apply for the 2021 INSPIRE Scholarship.
