Applications are open for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program!

The Gilman Scholarship Program expands the number of students studying and interns abroad by supporting undergraduate students who might not otherwise participate due to financial constraints. The program aims to encourage students to study and intern in a variety of countries, regions and regions of the world. The program also encourages students to study languages, especially languages with critical needs (those considered important to national security). Military service veterans are encouraged to apply, and preference is given to veterans when other factors are equal. By supporting undergraduate students with high financial needs, the program has successfully supported students who have been historically underrepresented in education abroad, including but not limited to first-generation college students, ethnic minority students, students with disabilities, and students enrolled in HBCUs (historically Black colleges and universities) or other institutions serving minorities, students attending community colleges, and students coming from US states with less study abroad participation.
