The Rogue Valley-based agricultural supply cooperative offers scholarships to high school seniors throughout the state, including Jackson and Josephine counties.
Grange Co-op, based in Central Point, is offering nine scholarships, totaling $14,000 to help students, as part of the company’s GrangeGives initiative. Eight students will qualify for $1,500 and one student will receive $2,000.
“Grange Co-op strives to help young people in our communities excel and take the next step in their future endeavours,” said Demetria Marikal, youth and community outreach coordinator at Grange Co-op, in a prepared statement. “Helping build the foundation for the future, Grange Co-op is proud to support local students in their pursuit of higher education.”
Eligible seniors must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and participate in any number of activities, including Future Farmers of America and 4-H.
Students who wish to apply must also submit a written essay of 900 to 1,500 words on a specific topic; official high school transcripts; A letter of recommendation signed by the teacher, school counselor, administrator, or employer; A short video introducing themselves.
