In brief: Vaccine clinic, scholarship available and more around Penn Hills

Vaccine clinic

Penn Hills School District is partnering with UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to provide a covid vaccine clinic from 9 to 11 am Feb. 18 at Linton Middle School, 250 Aster St.

It is available for staff, district families and students 5 and older.

All three vaccines will be available. People can register online at bit.ly/3rCYGHk.

Scholarship available

The Bob Williams Rotary Memorial Scholarship Program announces the availability of scholarships for the 2022-23 academic year.

In recent years, the club has awarded at least eight scholarships at $5,000 each. High school seniors in Allegheny and Beaver counties are eligible to apply. Vocational students, GED students and those attending parochial, charter and private schools also are eligible.

Students must have a 2.5 or higher grade point average and also must complete an essay that highlights their community/school service as part of the application submission.

Complete application and criteria materials, including application deadline, are available on the Rotary District 7305 website, Scholarship Link, or from area high school counselors.

Community Coffee
