Justin Bean Named America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week

Logan, Utah – Senior striker for Utah State Justin Bean He was named Best Student Athlete by USU Credit Union for the week ending Sunday, December 26th. The award is voted on by a statewide media committee.

Through their Student Athletic Sponsorship of the Week, America First Credit Union is donating funds directly to support student-athlete scholarships.

He scored among his doubles at Mountain West this season with 29 points and 12 rebounds in Utah State’s 81-62 win over Portland on December 21. Baskets, perfect 5 vs 5 firing from behind the bow. Overall, Bean fired 73.3 percent (11 of 15) from the ground and 66.7 percent (2 of 3) from the free throw line and finished the match with one steal.

Utah State MW play opens this week, as it travels to the Air Force to take on the Falcons on Wednesday, December 29 at 1 p.m. Fans can watch the game via MW Network, online at www.utahstateaggies.com/watch.

Top guard Kaelen Randhawa (Turlock, California) scored the team’s top 20 points in Utah State’s 103-80 loss to Montana. Against Lady Griz, Randhawa shot 43.8% (7-of-16) from the ground, 42.9% (3-of-7) from behind the arc and 100.0% (3-of-3) at the free throw line. Randhawa has now scored in double digits in eight of USU’s ten games, including three 20-point games. Randhawa also scored two rebounds and one assist against the Grizzlies.
