Liverpool Dollars for Scholars opens online scholarship application process for Class of 2022 – Eagle News Online

LIVERPOOL – The online application process for the Liverpool Dollars for Scholars Program for students in the Class of 2022 opened on January 15th. If you know seniors at Liverpool High School who are planning to further their education, please encourage them to apply for over 180 scholarships of various value from $500 to $2000.

All LHS Seniors have received a list of scholarships and instructions for completing the online application process. Many of our scholarships have no eligibility criteria, while others are looking for applicants who have attended specific elementary/middle schools; Planning for some professional majors/fields including trades; Or get involved in the arts, school/community service, or athletics.

Scholarship winners attend two- and four-year colleges and universities, technical institutes, trade schools, hospital nursing and other health-related programs, BOCES programs for adults, and vocational training. No matter where a student ranks in the class, every student committed to higher education is urged to apply. Some colleges match the scholarship.

The odds are good for those who apply. Over the past few years, most applicants have been awarded scholarships or have been selected as an alternative. Several alternates eventually received a scholarship. While it takes time to complete the online application process, it is well worth the effort: the money can be applied to tuition, fees, room and board, books, and educational supplies.

Despite the challenges of COVID, Liverpool Dollars for Scholars has awarded 169 scholarships totaling $120,600 to LHS students in the Class of 2021.

The deadline for online applications is 11:59pm on March 8, 2022. Students can go to Liverpool.dollarsforscholars.org to complete a profile and apply for scholarships.
