LSAC Global to give over 50 scholarships for law aspirants appearing for LSAT India 2022

LSAT India 2022 winners who seek admission into the UG and PG Law programs will receive scholarships of Rs 2 lakh, each.

New Delhi: LSAC Global, the Indian subsidiary of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), has announced 53 merit-based scholarships and 3 essay scholarships for students appearing for the LSAT India 2022 examination, which is scheduled to take place in January and May 2022.

LSAC Global will award the first scholarships to students who have achieved high scores in the LSAT India test this year, for the fourth year in a row.

“In order to provide an opportunity for law aspirants to realize their dream of a career in law, this year LSAC Global has increased the number of scholarships for high scorers in the LSAT-India 2022, who are seeking admission into various law programs at LSAC,” said an official statement from LSAC. The top 50 scorers in LSAT India who wish to seek admission into the undergraduate program at the LSAC Global Law Alliance College will be eligible for the 50 scholarships as follows:

  • Excellent: 2 lakh rupees only
  • Second highest scorer: 1 lakh rupees only
  • Third highest scorer: 1 lakh rupees only
  • 4th and 5th highest scorer: 50,000 rupees each
  • 6th – 25th Top Scorer: Rs 25,000 each
  • Twenty-fifth-fifty top scorer: 15,000 rupees each

Besides, the 3 best graders in LSAT India, who wish to gain admission into the postgraduate programme, will be eligible for three scholarships as follows:

  • Excellent: 2 lakh rupees only
  • Second highest scorer: 1 lakh rupees only
  • Third highest scorer: 1 lakh rupees only

LSAC Global Scholarships for Law Students

The scholarship named Chmnad Bashir Access to Justice Scholarship is based on an essay competition. The theme for this year’s competition is “The Impact of Social Media – Does It Promote Inclusion or Broaden the Gap?”. Students need to write an essay defending or against the topic and submit it by May 6, 2022 at Email ID – Discoverlawscholarship@lsac.org.

Only LSAT India candidates who apply to a five-year, full-time law program at LSAC Global Law Alliance College, are eligible to apply.

Essay writing competition winners will receive three scholarships up to:

  • Winner: 2 lakh rupees only
  • First runner-up: 1 lakh rupees only
  • Second place: 1 lakh rupees only

The scholarships will cover tuition and hostel fees for the first year of a five-year law program at any LSAC Global Law Alliance college, the statement said.
