LSAC will award the Shamnad Bashir Access to Justice Scholarship to Legal Aspirants
LSAC Global, the Indian subsidiary of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), will award 53 merit-based scholarships and three essay scholarships to students who appear in the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) India 2022.
The exam is scheduled for January and May 2022.
The LSAC Global Topper Scholarship will be awarded to students with the highest scores in the LSAT-India test this year and the winners across India will receive scholarships worth Rs 2 lakh.
These scholarships will be awarded to the top 50 LSAT-India aspirants aspiring to undergraduate programs at LSAC Global Law Alliance Colleges.
Scholarships in order:
Topper: 2 lakh rupees
Second highest scorer: 1 lakh rupees
Third highest scorer – 1 lakh rupees
Fourth and Fifth Place in the Ranking – 50,000 rupees each
Sixth to 25th place among the top scorers – 25,000 rupees each
25 – 50 top scorers – 15,000 rupees each
LSAC will also award the Shamnad Basheer Access to Justice Scholarship to law aspirants.
Shamnad Bashir Justice Scholarship
The Shamnad Basheer Access to Justice Scholarship is based on an essay competition and the theme of the year is “The Impact of Social Media – Does It Promote Inclusion or Widen the Gap?” Students need to write an essay arguing for or against the topic and submit their entries by May 6, 2022.
Each essay will be judged on the basis of originality, relevance to the topic, comprehensiveness, structure, analysis, understanding, interpretation, and conclusions related to diversity in the legal profession.
The winners of the essay writing competition will receive three scholarships. The first runner-up will get Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1 lakh each to the first and second runners-up.
The scholarships will cover tuition and accommodation fees for the first year of a five-year law program at any LSAC Global Law Alliance College.
