Illustrative Mathematics is a problem-based curriculum that allows students in middle and high school to access mathematics at the level they are at when they arrive at school. The curriculum is student-centered with supports and extensions for all learners as well as many resources for teachers.
The Illustrative Mathematics, Algebra 1 materials will be implemented in CCPS middle and high schools during the 2022-2023 school year, followed by Illustrative Mathematics, Geometry in 2023-2024, and Illustrative Mathematics, Algebra 2 in 2024-2025. All three texts were written by Bill McCallum and published by Kendall Hunt.
