Washington State University has launched a new online quarantine and isolation tool to help members of the university community take appropriate precautions in the face of potential exposure to COVID-19. The university also extended its request to avoid serving food and drinks at events, including sporting events, until February 14.
The tool guides faculty, staff, and students through recommended steps after a positive test, symptom onset, or close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Data from the survey tool will be used to monitor the number of cases across Washington State University sites. Those with additional questions about isolation or quarantine should call (509) 335-3041, the instructions are not a substitute for medical or legal advice.
Information about the new tool was included in the latest university update for the WSU community. The full letter is available online.
WSU also announced that it is extending a request to event organizers, including sporting events, to avoid serving food or drink until February 14. Last month, the university asked organizers to refrain from serving food or drink to ensure attendees keep their masks at all. times during events.
The university will continue to provide timely updates on its response to the pandemic through several communication channels.
