New Scholarship Established For Bay Students In Dickinson County

The Robert S. Farda Scholarship at Bay College was established to assist Dickinson County students in pursuing a business or pre-engineering degree.

After graduating from Kingsford High School, Robert (Rob) continued his education at Michigan Tech University with degrees in business and electrical engineering. Throughout his career he has worked for Grede Foundry, Oldenburg Group and BOSS Snowplow.

Rob passed away in October 2019. His wife, Linda, established a scholarship within the Bay College Foundation in his memory that is awarded annually. “This scholarship is intended to honor Rob’s strong commitment to society and his passion for his fields of education,” Linda stated. “Rob will be very happy to know that he is helping the students on their educational journey.”

Bay College students can apply for over 300 scholarships online at www.baycollege.edu/scholarships.
