Noodles and Co., (NASDAQ:NDLS), the national fast food brand that serves up pasta dishes inspired from around the world and made fresh to order, is pushing it forward in a big way this National Day of Giving by investing in its team members.
This year, on Tuesday, November 30, Noodles & Company will donate $1 from every order that a Noodles Rewards member places through the Noodles Rewards app or Noodles.com to the Noodles Foundation. In return, as a small Noodles thank-you gesture, members will receive a regular free fountain drink reward to use on their next visit (valid for 14 days from release).
“Our team members are central to everything we do,” said Sue Petersen, Executive Vice President of Inclusion, Diversity, and People at Noodles & Company. “That is why on National Giving Day, we raise the bar for our team members directly through this giving back initiative. One of our core values is we care, We are committed to supporting our team members in times of need, and with the National Day of Giving, we will be able to positively impact our team members.”
Founded in 2014, the Noodles & Company Foundation is the mission of the Noodles & Company Foundation to be with its team members in times of sudden crisis. Since its inception, the Noodles & Company Foundation has provided nearly $350,000 to more than 900 team members in need. The Foundation is funded primarily by donations from team members to help support fellow Noodles. As an extension of the Noodles & Company Foundation, the Noodles Scholarship Fund has provided more than $450,000 in educational grants to 150 team members and their families to advance their educational goals.
Funds from the National Day of Giving campaign will be reinvested directly into the Foundation and Scholarship Fund to further this mission and create meaningful impact for the Noodles & Company team members.
