All-B1G to big time
Three of the four players mentioned below were named to at least one All-American outlet at some point last year and have a chance to become consensus selections at their position by season’s end.
LB Jack Campbell, sr. — A second-team All-American, Campbell (6-5, 243) led the country with 143 tackles last year, which ranks fifth in school history. Campbell scored touchdowns on both fumble and interception returns, plus forced a fumble resulting in a touchback and recovered another on the opponent’s 6-yard line. With length, range and striking ability, Campbell should enter the season as a consensus preseason All-American.
CB Riley Moss, sr. — The returning Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year and All-American by three outlets, Moss (6-1, 194) intercepted four passes and returned two for scores.
