RE-1 Valley Foundation scholarship applications available – Sterling Journal-Advocate

The RE-1 Valley Foundation is once again offering several scholarship opportunities for current RE-1 high school seniors and district alumni. Approximately $21,000 in funding is available. Specific eligibility requirements and a copy of the scholarship application can be found at www.re1valleyfoundation.org/scholarships. Deadline to apply is Friday, March 25, 2022.

Curtis Long Memorial: Open to all RE-1 high school seniors and district alumni interested in pursuing a career in public service (government, social work, education, health care, non-profits, fire, police, emergency medical technician, etc.) applicants entering first responder careers.

Rotarian Marcia Luce Memorial: Open to all RE-1 high school seniors who demonstrate qualities of good leadership and involvement in their community, school, or other organization. Must be attending school outside of Logan County.

Louise L. Cronbaugh Academic: Open to Sterling High seniors with a standing in the top one-third of the class.

Louise L. Cronbaugh Community Service: Open to Sterling High seniors involved in a service organization at Sterling High School.

Sterling Miracle Players: Open to all RE-1 high school seniors interested in pursuing postsecondary visual or performing arts curriculum (art education majors permitted)

DeBord Art Scholarship: Open to Sterling High seniors. Please contact SHS art instructor HeeHun Cho to express interest in this scholarship.

Jill Hershberger Memorial: Open to Sterling High seniors and alumni with preference given to those who are interested in working with K-12 children. Must be attending an in-state institution.

George and Lillian Louderback: Open to Caliche High seniors who demonstrate academic ability and service to the community; must be attending a public institution in Colorado.
