If you wish to apply for the Community Foundation Scholarship for Northeast Michigan, please read the following information carefully before accessing the “AwardSpring” scholarship application.
Some CFNEM scholarship funds do not use the ‘AwardSpring’ application process. The donors to these funds have established other application procedures, which you can find in the Alternative Application Procedures section below.
For scholarships in Cheboygan, Crawford, Iosco, Ogemaw, Oscoda or Mackinaw City counties, please visit our scholarship application page. Look for the green piggy bank.
Each scholarship application submitted will be carefully reviewed to ensure that all students are eligible. There are over 70 different scholarship funds for students and adults who live or have gone to school in Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, and Presque Isle counties, thanks to the many generous local donors who care about your future.
Now is a great time to gather some important information that you may need to complete the online application process, depending on the specific scholarship(s) you are eligible for. Many scholarship funds have different application requirements, so you may not be required to submit all of the items listed below. Most of these are also required for applications to the college, so you may already have them put together.
For specific requirements, contact cfnem.org.
Other information may be required depending on specific criteria for a particular scholarship fund.
Please read the description of each fund for eligibility criteria and application instructions.
A variety of scholarships are available to area students, based on need and field of study.
Technical assistance is available through AwardSpring, the company that developed and hosts the scholarship application process.
If you have non-technical questions regarding a scholarship, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 989-354-6881.
