Channel Nine first aired a story about Reynolds’ career dreams in December. His mentor since he was five – Lieutenant Jeff Finning of the Seminole County Fire Department – has been present for his graduation and scholarship announcement.

“It was a great feeling. I mean, I was so happy when he told me this was his graduation day and that he wanted me to be here,” Vining said.
