Waldorf School Scholarship is open to new students
Eighth grade students interested in attending Santa Fe Waldorf School next year are eligible to apply for the Renaissance Scholarship, which covers all tuition through high school.
The scholarship is valued at more than $80,000, according to a recent press release from the school, and was created to cover the educational costs of local students who would not be able to afford private school education.
Applicants must be new students for the 2022-23 academic year and new to Waldorf-style education.
The state stakeholder group has openings for students and family
On Saturday, Designated Public Education Secretary Kurt Steinhaus hosted the first meeting of a 56-person stakeholder group that will provide input to the Department of Public Education, help formulate policy and advocate for legislation related to education in New Mexico.
The group consists of teachers, “civic members”, parents, guardians and students, according to a recent press release from the Education Ministry.
The group is still looking for students and family members to fill in the blanks. Applicants from North and Southwest New Mexico are encouraged to apply.
Applications are open for UNM Spring and Summer Technical Camps
“Early Professional and Experienced Professionals” in New Mexico with minimal technological experience are invited to apply to a series of “Technical Boot Camps” at the University of New Mexico in the spring and summer.
There are three boot camps available:
u Cyber ​​Boot Camp About Cyber ​​Security. Applications due by March 8 for a 26-week part-time session and May 2 for a 12-week full-time session.
u DevOps training program for education on coding and automation. Applications are due by April 5th.
u Data Analytics bootcamp on data visualization and programming languages, including Python and SQL.
Applicants do not need to be registered with the school to be eligible, and financial aid is available.
