Samuel Siebu, founder of the SOKS Foundation, recently took another big step towards his lifelong dream of awarding full-waived academic scholarships to 250 students from his native Liberia. This week, Samuel Sebo opened his heart and money to help five deserving students of Annie T. Academy’s tuition-free Christian-based education in Buchanan, Liberia, West Africa. Along with a quality education this student care provides supplies, uniforms, and a meal Free lunch daily.
Unfortunately, “this” is probably “the only” meal that they “receive every day”. Francis Siu, receives a scholarship from Mr. Sibu on behalf of ATDMF, praised Sam for his important contributions and urged that he will continue to support these students until their graduation from the Annie T. Doe Memorial Academy. This good education will provide these well-deserved female students a chance to break out of the cycle of “poverty”, “families”, “possess”, “experience”, “against”, far away, “long”.
Liberia is the oldest republic in Africa and yet it is one of the poorest. It has one of the highest illiteracy rates in Africa. Public education is not free. A large number of families are so poor that they cannot pay school fees. Oftentimes they have to put their children to work to do menial work to help support their families. ATDMF’s mission is to change that.
The mission of the Annie T Doe Memorial Foundation is to empower today’s generation for a better tomorrow. The Foundation provides free primary education for disadvantaged children, free women’s empowerment programs, and health education services.
We encourage everyone to take care of a child. There is no greater talent than the ability to brighten a child’s future. Create a gift today and turn a child’s dream of a better tomorrow into a reality.
Earlier this year, Samuel Sibu was able to award fifteen well-deserved female students of the Kola Foundation Institute full scholarships for their academic excellence. Samuel Cebu is known for his passion for education and his generosity towards the less fortunate in our society. With his enthusiasm for education, Mr. Siebu believes that the best gift to give a child is education, as it can never be taken away. Sam Siebu’s philanthropy goes beyond borders – his goal is for other donors of good will to support and enable this charitable work in the SOKS Foundation that will have a lasting impact on generations to come.
