Washington, DC May 7–28, 2022 Apply by March 1

Transform into a sustainable leader in this three-week highly experiential course in the nation’s capital, exploring the intersections of environmental sustainability, engineering and business, and how you can affect positive change.

Learn from Michael Readey, an expert with more than 30 years of industry and academic experience in sustainable technology. Hear from numerous guest speaker industry experts and experts, and organizations such as the entrepreneurs EPA, NASA and Audubon Naturalist Society. Also, explore all that DC has to offer, from the Smithsonians to the pandas at the zoo!

Earn 3 credits that are approved for engineering management, engineering tech elective, business elective, business CESR or other credits. Check the Education Abroad website for a full list of approvals. CU also has significant scholarship opportunities available for this program. All students with demonstrated financial need will be awarded a scholarship.

Is law and policy more your thing?

CU in DC offers a science policy course every Maymester. You’ll interact with professionals who create science policy in the US and explore topics such as science funding and science careers. The course includes visits with policymakers on Capitol Hill, interaction with scientific societies and organizations in the DC metro area, and visits to significant science labs at organizations such as the Department of Energy and National Institutes of Health.
