Stillwater Boy Wins $100K Scholarship For Being Fully Vaccinated

STILLWATER, Minnesota – A Stillwater boy will get $100,000 to go towards his college education after winning a grant as part of Minnesota’s “Children Deserve an Injection” campaign to encourage children to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Governor Tim Walz announced Monday that Good Mutter has won a $100,000 grant to fully vaccinate her. Mutter is one of five winners, with children from Plymouth, Rochester and Apple Valley also receiving six-figure scholarships.

Walz said the fifth winner of the $100,000 grant is due to be announced on Wednesday.

The “Kids Deserve a Shot” campaign offered a slew of incentives, including $200 gift cards, tickets and equipment from Minnesota’s professional and collegiate sports teams, a “zookeeper for a day” experience, and much more.

Prize winners are selected by a Minnesota State Lottery drawing.
