Syracuse, NY – Little gold will visit the highlands on Tuesday.

Tony Apatine, who serves as Vision coach for the US Olympic softball team, will appear at the center of events on Tuesday, November 30 at 9 p.m. to give a presentation titled “Dope Cup.” The offer is open to all Le Moyne students, faculty and staff as part of the Intercollegiate Athletic Department’s programming of the “The Le Moyne Way” initiative.

Apatin, a performance counselor and college professor specializing in vision and its impact on mentality and emotions, will discuss anxiety and stress that impact performance and life as well as build coping skills that last on and off the field.

“We are very excited to bring Tony Apatene to Le Moyen to discuss a topic so critical to the success of all college students,” said athletics director Le Moyen. Bob Beretta. “Tony is widely known as a world leader in mental conditioning and has an amazing ability to connect with his audience on a personal level.

“Tony has worked with top university and professional institutions across the country and is in high demand in the international speaking circuit as well. His presentation is particularly timely with the start of final exams just a week away. We continue to look for innovative ways to provide our student-athletes with an edge over their competitors. , while also helping in their pursuit of overall excellence. I believe Tony will help our students achieve these goals.”

Tuesday’s presentation will address the stresses and fears that college students face today. Apaten will also share practical tips and strategies on how to manage and eliminate variables that affect performance and academics.

Apatine is a certified Open Focus Field (COFTC) coach, and his work in visual psychology has been featured in Sports Illustrated, Baseball America, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek, and ESPN. He has been a consultant to several Major League Baseball teams, several college programs and for the past five years has been the Vision Coach for the USA Olympic softball team.

Apatene is a regular member of the speaker circle in the United States and internationally, with recent presentations in Dubai, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Japan. He is also the author of Beyond the Ball.
