Mohegan — The Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen competitions will be held April 9 in Mohegan Sun’s Cabaret Theater, the Miss CT Scholarship Organization announced.
A Miss Connecticut and a Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen will be named as Sapna Raghavan and Aicha Diallo, respectively, the crown of their successors. Tickets are available for purchase at missct.org/tickets.
Eleven candidates will compete for the Miss Connecticut title, and six for the title of Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen. Candidates will compete in private interview, onstage interview/social impact, talent and red carpet categories. Teen candidates will compete in a private interview, talent, evening wear/on-stage question, and lifestyle and fitness.
Both winners will receive scholarships to support their educational endeavors.
Ms. Raghavan has won $12,000 in scholarships, and Ms. Diallo has been awarded $2,800. Additional funds can be won at the national level in the Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competitions.
Women between the ages of 17 and 26 who meet residency requirements for the Miss Connecticut competition and are interested in competing in the 2023 competition are encouraged to enter by contacting Ashley McClain, vice president of recruiting and local business, at email@example.com .
