Jennifer said, “ManSat has run this competition every year since 2000, with 44 Isle of Man students enrolled in the Space School. Due to the pandemic, Space Schools 2020 and 2021 have been held online. Hopefully the 2022 edition will return to Houston, with a final decision on whether it will take place in person or online by the end of March. Our scholarships are usually open to 12th graders, but this year we are expanding our competition to both Years 12 and 13 so that all 6th graders have the opportunity to apply to Houston during their career at school. “

  • Question 1: Why are you interested in space?
  • Question 2: How do you think the Isle of Man can contribute to space exploration?
  • Question 3: Should humans return to the Moon before going to Mars? Please justify your answer.

All three questions must be answered and each answer must be between 500 and 1,000 words in length. The answers must be provided in a single PDF – firstname-secondname-school.pdf – and entries will be anonymous before the judging takes place.
