The University of Hawaii Community Colleges is launching a new admission application that will allow Hawaii high school seniors graduating in 2022 to easily apply for college.
The Kama’aina App takes students less than 15 minutes to complete and has no application fee, UH said in a news release Monday. It is open to all class of 2022 seniors attending a public, private or charter school in Hawaii.
The UH Community College system covers seven campuses, including UH-Maui College.
In addition to a new application, UH Community Colleges also offers various scholarships. Every Hawaii student who is eligible is considered for the Hawaii Promise Scholarship, which provides free in-state tuition for qualified UH Community College students with financial needs. Last year, about 2,500 community college students were offered more than $5 million of these scholarships.
Students can apply now for the upcoming summer and fall 2022 semesters at kamaaina.hawaii.edu.
