West Kentucky Community and Technical College provides an opportunity for Kentuckians to learn how they can qualify for up to 60 hours of tuition free.
WKCTC is hosting an informational event on December 7 from 5-6:30 pm about the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship. The event will be in Room 101 in the Crounse Hall.
WRKS offers up to 60 hours of tuition free for Kentuckians who have not yet earned an undergraduate degree. The program covers the tuition cost of technical programs in specific high-paying, high-demand areas such as healthcare, advanced manufacturing, transportation and logistics, business and information technology services, and construction and crafts.
Trent Johnson, director of admissions at WKCTC, said now is a good time for people to consider pursuing an associate degree or degree, especially since prospective students can earn some degrees and certificates without tuition fees.
“We want to help individuals learn more about WRKS and apply to eligible programs to begin their educational journey at WKCTC,” Johnson said.
WKCTC will also present door prizes at this event.
Registration for the spring semesters at WKCTC is open. Prospective students can reach the admissions office for information about a WRKS event or WKCTC application information by sending an email to email@example.com or by calling 270-534-3435.
